1780, circa. Martin COX born probably in Fayette County Pennsylvania son of Michael COX Sr. & Elizabeth (née ? Desloch ?)

1780, circa. Rebecca HULL born (after 1774), location unknown but probably in Washington County Pennsylvania daughter of John HULL Sr. Rebecca (née ?) circa 1778 in Pennsylvania - see 1850 census Crawford County Ohio

1798, circa. Martin COX married Rebecca HULL, probably either in Fallowfield, Washington, Pennsylvania or, more likely, in Luzerne, Fayette, Pennsylvania

1798, 21 Apr. Deed (D:75) made in Fayette County Pennsylvania Michael & Elizabeth COX sold 50 acres for 5 shillings to son Martin COX. Recorded 21 May 1798.

1799, circa. daughter Elizabeth born in Fayette County Pennsylvania.

1800, Luzerne, Fayette, Pennsylvania federal census: Martin COX household has
1 M[ale] under 10, 1 M 16-26, 1 F[emale] under 10, 2 F 16-26. (p 557).

1800, 30 Aug. son John born in Fayette County Pennsylvania

1801, 12 Sep. Deed (D:343-44) made in Fayette County Pennsylvania Jacob COX et ux [wife] and Martin COX et ux sold 103 acres to Nimrod GREGG.

1803, circa. Son Martin born in Fayette County Pennsylvania

1804, Deed (5:440) made in Ohio County Virginia. James & Arness SNODGRASS by attorney William IRWIN sold 55 acres to Martin COX.

1805, circa. Son George born in Fayette County Pennsylvania

1806, 28 Oct. Daughter Rebecca born in Fayette County Pennsylvania

1808, 4 Apr. A Martin COX (who married Rebecca) sold 55 acres in Ohio County Virginia between Short Creek and Glenns Run to Joseph WILSON near land that Henry & Christinia HULL bought in 1821 while in Coshocton County Ohio (6:318).

1809, circa. Son Cyrus born.

1810, Luzerne, Fayette, Pennsylvania federal census: Martin COX household has 1 M under 10, 1 M 26-45, 1 F 16-26 (p 963).

1811, circa. Daughter Sarah "Sally" born.

1811, 2 Nov. Deed (1:28) made in Coshocton County Ohio. Robert GIFFIN et ux to Martin COX.

1812, Martin COX and brother-in-law, Henry HULL (married Christinia COX), were volunteers in 2 Bn, 2 Regt, 4 Bde, 3 Div in Ohio Militia. Unit defended Mansfield frontiers under command of Capt. William Beard.

1812, Martin COX appeared in Capt. Beard's 2d/2d company muster roll, War of 1812. Martin COX lived in HAMMEL place, about a mile southeast of New Castle, Coshocton County Ohio (Norton Newell Hill, History of Coshocton County, Ohio: Its Past and Present, 1740-1881, Neward, Ohio: A. A. Graham & County, 1881. p. 569). No date was specified, however--REH.

1813, 5 June. Deed (1:101) made in Coshocton County Ohio. Martin & Rebecca COX sold 50 acres in T3 R6 S9 out of SE corner of tract for $100 to David COX. Witnesses: Stephen MERYDITH, Isaac MERYDITH, Caterine STOTTS. Border land of Robert GIFFIN, Martin COX. Rec 24 June 1813.

1814, Martin COX appeared on Coshocton County Ohio tax list.

1815, circa. Twins, Maria and Levina, born.

1815, 30 Jan. Will of father, Michael COX Sr., proven in Fayette County Pennsylvania; signed 26 Nov 1804 (or 1814). (W.B. Nl, p 146). Died 24 Jan 1815.

1816, Daughter Katherine born.

1818, Martin COX appeared on Coshocton County Ohio tax list.

1819, Sep. At the Sept Term of the court, Martin COX received $120 from the will of his father (N1:146).

1824, 29 Apr. Deed (4:142) made in Coshocton County Ohio. Joshua COCHRAN et ux to Martin COX.

1828, 29 Feb. Deed (4:789) made in Coshocton County Ohio. Martin COX et ux to Joshua COCHRAN.

1829, 6 Apr. Deed (5:101) made in Coshocton County Ohio. Martin COX Sr et ux to Martin COX Jr.

1830, 16 Jan. Deed (5:428) made in Coshocton County Ohio. Martin COX Sr et ux to Stephen BEATY.

1830, 8 Feb. Deed (1:320-21) made in Crawford County Ohio. Stephen BEATY et ux to Martin COX.

1830. Sandusky, Crawford, Ohio federal census: Martin COX household had 2 M under 5, 1 M 15-20, 1 M 30-40, 1 M 50-60, 3 F 5-10, 2 F 10-15, 1 F 20-30, 1 F 50-60 (p 171).

1834, 30 Oct. Deed (3:527) made in Crawford County Ohio. Martin COX et ux to Cyrus COX.

1840, Sandusky, Crawford, Ohio federal census: Martin COX household had 1 M 10-15, 1 M 60-70, 1 F 60-70 (p 16).

1841, 5 July. Martin COX made will, Crawford County Ohio (W.B. 10, pp. 51-52).
